Morningstar’s Managed Portfolios expanded internationally, and that meant creating websites that would meet regulatory compliance across multiple countries and scale for a variety of users. This work included novel research with investors, advisors, investment firms, and internal stakeholders, and an architecture overhaul.
Morningstar’s Managed Portfolios grew, but our operations weren’t scaling. Not one quarterly performance report was mailed on time. We approached this problem using service design techniques, reducing waste by 70%.
